About dbtuning

My name is David Barker, and this is the website that I have established as the online home for my piano tuning and repair business.

I am based in the small town of Southwell in the East Midlands and I'm currently learning about the tuning and repair of pianos under John Lord at Newark College.

Both John and I feel that I have gained sufficient expertise to start building up a tuning round of my own. This website is one of the means by which potential customers can contact me, or simply find out about me and the services I am able to offer.

For a while I have been working with Phil Taylor, who is an experienced and innovative technician. This has given me a range of work experience that I would not otherwise have obtained, and has been a very useful supplement to my college course.

As a final year student I am aware of the need to prepare myself for the transition to full-time working, so I am taking every opportunity to broaden my experience in the piano trade.
